Bio

Edith Dekyndt (Born in 1960, Ieper, Belgium). She lives and works in Brussels and Berlin. She studied visual communications before attending the École des Beaux-Arts de Mons. She works with everyday objects as they are transformed by the passage of time, documenting her activities with video, photography, sound and installation. She has had solo exhibitions at the DAAD in Berlin, the Wiels in Brussels, Le Consortium in Dijon, the Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam and the MAC's in Grand-Hornu. She was also invited to take part in the 2017 Venice Biennial. Her work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the FRAC Franche-Comté, as well as several other FRACs. Her exihibitions highlights in 2018 are in New York with Galerie Greta Meert at Frieze and with Richard Taittinger Gallery, New York.
