The exhibition shows the young painter’s latest work, which is characterised by the research on surface and materials throughout a pondered and continuous procedure, following the collateral implications of the effects created. A path within the painting which tends to an expansion of the expressive means and capabilities, where the experimental attitude and meticulous attention for details are combined.
Works of art return that sensation of waiting - of suspension - which emerges from the use of transparencies and from the crystallization of the materia subdued after painting. The dimension of memory and the expectation become complementary aspects of the universal process which leads to the completion of the work of art, just like bordering places divided by the ephemeral unity that there is where memories and hopes - frayed material of existence - are mixed up.
The employment of different supports allows to structure the dialectic “recto/verso” in several lines of interpretation: indeed, works of art reflect the working method which confuses the surface, like a filter on which colour sets down, or a panel that holds a sudden note. In the same way the correspondence between gesture and picture does not consider the stylistic or formal limitations just stopping to the technical rigour or to the authorial sign, but they blend in a effective synthesis of irony and expressive charge.
